I find inspiration in everything around me. It could be a feeling, a moment in a show, or simply the way someone is dressed. People’s outfits are one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I love watching how they wear their clothes—the baggy pants, the tight tees, the
flow of a jacket, and even the colors they choose. When I watch people, I start to imagine how I can create something similar, but with my own twist. That’s what keeps me going as a designer.
I want my designs to show what’s in my mind. Fashion is my way of sharing my thoughts and feelings. Whether it’s a texture I touch or an idea I get while watching TV, I turn those moments into art you can wear. It’s like telling a story through clothes.
My style? It’s avant-garde streetwear. I love the idea of taking something old, worn-out, or ragged, and turning it into something beautiful. We live in a time when anything is possible with fashion, and I want to push those limits. I don’t copy other people’s ideas—I add to them and make them my own. It’s like a conversation with other artists. Maybe someone else will take my work and make it even better, or maybe I’ll come back to it one day and find new ways to evolve it.
My audience? It’s anyone who sees fashion as art. I create pieces that are simple but make a statement. Think of it like Banksy’s art—minimal but powerful. It’s not just about what I think the design means; it’s about what it means to you. Fashion is all about perspective, and everyone will see something different in my pieces.
I keep things simple. I love thrifting and working with secondhand clothes. I find unique items at places like Goodwill and turn them into one-of-a-kind pieces. There’s something special about reworking old clothes and giving them a new life. When I do use new materials, I make sure they’re high-quality—like soft cotton. I want my clothes to be both comfortable and durable.
Creativity doesn’t always come when you want it. I don’t try to force new ideas. When I need inspiration, I go out and do something. Surfing helps me clear my mind and get inspired by nature’s colors. I also love walking around neighborhoods to see how buildings, clothes, and colors come together. That’s where the best ideas come from.
My advice to anyone starting out? Just go outside and do something. Don’t get stuck in your head. Ideas come when you least expect them, so get moving and let life inspire you.
Starting was the hardest part for me. I didn’t know anything about design at first. I had to teach myself everything from scratch, with little help. But I kept pushing, and eventually, I met other artists who were passionate about the same things. They helped me get better, but the toughest part was getting started.
Right now, I’m working on my website and graphics. I’m excited to show my designs to the world and see where this journey takes me.
Fashion is my way to express myself. It’s how I turn what I see, hear, and feel into something wearable. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see how my ideas grow.
